Interesting question and one that is actually very difficult to answer! Mainly because there are sooooo many cells in your body, it’s actually impossible to count them all. Even if you could count ten cells each second, it would take you tens of thousands of years to finish counting!
But we can take a guess at the number of cells by looking at the weight of one average cell and working out from there how many cells there might be in a normal human being.
Scientists last year did this calculation and worked out that a normal human being will have around 37.2 trillion cells in their body. That’s 37,200,000,000,000 cells!
