I am a computational scientist, which means that I am mainly working on a computer analysing data from experiments or writing computer programs that simulate different biological processes. This provides me with a lot of flexibility in terms of my working day… For example, somedays I could be working from 8am to 9pm from my home office, whilst other days I could be working from 10am to 6pm at King’s College London (where collaborators are) and then go to the gym and/or meet with friends. This is one of the things I love most about being a scientist… you are more or less your own boss 🙂

What I'd do with the prize money:
I would organise a hands on event about bioinspired engineering.
