      Hi sinclairm,

Both men and women have Adam’s apples but they are more obvious in men.
It is formed by bits of cartilage around your larynx (voicebox) and they meet in the middle of your neck. The angle that the cartilage meets at is smaller in men (90 degrees) and more prominent, whereas in women its 120 degrees.
This area also changes in size in men as they grow in to adulthood.
