• Question: is it possible to teleport

      Hi Calumm!
      That would be a very cool ability, and there are many occasions when I wish I could teleport myself…i’m sure you have too!
      Unfortunately, the human body is so complex and large that teleporting it is almost impossible. If you think how the individual cells in our body are all different, then these come together in different ways to form tissue, these tissues create organs, our organs come together to function as a larger unit…it’s quite complicated. Teleporting would involve breaking the body down into its tiniest building blocks, even smaller than cells, and building that back again. Sort of like complicated lego building without an instruction manual!

      The cool news is that teleportation has already happened! In Australia, scientists managed to transport some photons (the ridiculously tiny particles which make up light) from one side of their lab to another! So it may not be totally impossible, but we’re a long way from being bale to teleport ourselves to school on time…
