• Question: is it possible to have a photographic memory

      Hi @Callum,

      You can train your mind to learn in pictures. I myself do it and can confirm that it does actually work. Your mind is much better at remembering pictures than it is anything else.

      I use methods 9, 8 and 7 a lot myself. I used the linking method to remember a number with 500 digits once. And said it from memory forwards and backwards!

      Anyway, back to the question. Truly perfect photographic memory is very rare indeed. There are some people with a certain type of brain disorder called autism who have a photographic memory. But they often have to pay the price with something else, for example they may have a very very good memory but don’t know what to do with all that knowledge.
