      Hi Robertson,

We as scientists have a fairly good idea of how the world was made. The Earth was made around 5 billion years ago by lots of bits of rocks clumping together into a giant ball. This ball became the Earth we know today.

The science alone is enough to tell us how the Earth was made. Does this mean God doesn’t exist? Now that is up to you to decide for yourself 🙂

This is a really interesting topic, as it is commonly thought that if you’re a scientist you wouldn’t believe in God. This is because there isn’t any scientific evidence for a God, and proof is often key to any scientific argument.

But in fact, there are many people in the world who practice both science AND religion. They recognise the science behind why things work, such as why chemicals react, or how our body heals itself when damaged. Yet they also believe that there is a higher power, a God of some kind, even if he cannot be proven in scientific terms and that perhaps some things are meant to be left unexplained.

Religion and science are two very interesting subjects, and as you get older you will be able to understand each one a bit more and make your own opinion about Gods and the world’s creation. Be open minded and listen to everyone’s ideas….there are certainly a lot of opinions in the world!
