Gooood morning!
Diamonds a VERY strong! In fact they are the strongest natural thing on this planet. A diamond sword would cut anything ….. I wish I had a diamond sword 😛
The funny thing is, diamonds are made from the same thing as pencil led and peanut butter: carbon! But this carbon has been heated up to very high temperatures, around 1300 degrees Celsius, and squashed under 150 kilometres of ground!
No wonder they’re so hard.

A diamond sword would be cool.
The other thing that helps diamonds be strong is the way each particle (little bit) in the diamond is connected to the other diamond particles, they tie themselves together very tightly in a very structured way, this means it takes lots of energy to separate them= making it very strong
